The ministers who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan's administration have come out of hiding to defend their performance while in office, saying they did well in office and were not corrupt.

In a statement made public by Abubakar Suleiman, the former Minister of National Planning, said “contrary to what the APC and its agents would rather have the public believe, the Jonathan administration did not encourage corruption, rather it fought corruption vigorously, within the context of the rule of law and due process.”
