Lagos: Non-indigenes call for more protests over non-release of PVCs

IT may not yet be time for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to heave a sigh of relief, as non-indigenes in Lagos State are calling for more protests against what they deem non-release of their permanent voter cards (PVCs) by the INEC.
Though officials of the electoral body tried to calm tensed nerves last week, by declaring that before March 8, several millions more of PVCs would be made available, non-indigenes have said they would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that PVCs were made available to them.
Nigerian Tribune spoke with a cross section of non-indigenes in the state days after protests were led to the INEC state headquarters at Yaba, where a significant number of them were of the opinion that the commission should not be left alone until it did the right thing.
